Recording artist, songwriter, and engineer JD Feighner performed the National Anthem in front of crowds of more than 25,000 people at the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO on both December 3rd and January 21, 2010.

JD Feighner to Perform Live at Food for Hope

Lead Alliance’s JD Feighner will perform live to entertain guests at Food For Hope on Saturday, October 17th from 6-10pm. The event will take place at ROTH DISTRIBUTING 17801 East 40TH Avenue Denver, Colorado 80011.

Guests will join MC Ann Trujillo of 7News and Elway’s Executive Chef Tyler Ward and will enjoy catered cuisine, fine wine, and a live and silent auction.

All proceeds go to Fr. Woody’s Haven of Hope, a day shelter providing hot meals, private showers, clothing, hygiene, haircuts and laundry services to 400 people a day.

The live auction will include Marshall Fogel’s premier baseball memorabilia collection. This exhibit is so exclusive and is featured in Smithsonian Baseball, commented on in Forbes, The Boston Globe and the Wall Street Journal. Items include but are not limited to:

Sandy Koufax’s game used glove and game used bat 1955 Dodger signed baseball Mickey Mantle’s game used bat used in 1961 when chasing Ruth’s home run record
Joe DiMaggio’s 1951 game used uniform he wore when he hit his last home run of his career in game four of the 1951 World Series Babe Ruth’s game used bat from the 1925-1931 era.

Independent Gives Feighner Production Props

In Reverb by Adam Leech, JD Feighner is mentioned for his production work on Tango Red Tapestry’s debut disc, The Window EP.

“We tried for over seven months to record it ourselves,” says lead singer/songwriter Eastin, “but what we did just wasn’t working, so we ended up recording it at 1620 Studios with JD Feighner.” And the extra production seems to have paid off, as The Window glistens like a strand of finely polished indie rock pearls. Dr. John Feighner Plays Caravan

A sample of JD’s music legacy. JD’s dad, Dr. John Feighner, was a very accomplished musician and a funny guy.

In addition, Dr. Feighner, an internationally recognized psychiatrist, founded the Feighner Research Institute, a clinical neuropsychopharmacology research center, which for over 30 years conducted extensive clinical trials, predominantly testing medications for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, and migraine. Dr. Feighner was the primary investigator in over 225 clinical trials on more than 30 antidepressants and countless other psychotropic medications. He published 125 scientific papers and several books, had given over 1,000 seminars, and was known as one of the world’s leading experts in clinical psychopharmacology.

Here he plays “Caravan” on the piano during a Rancho Santa Fe Big Band concert.

Filming of “The Greyside” video

Last Tuesday, JD had a big party at which the filming for his music video of “The Greyside” was completed. Lots of folks showed up and it was kind of a wild night, especially when the firetruck showed up.
